Janhvi Kapoor took to Instagram to share pictures of her traditional attire for the event. Designer Manish Malhotra also posted Janhvi’s photos on social media with the caption, “Handloom woven to Tissue Sarees is a growing passion in my heart…@janhvikapoor looking absolutely beautiful in a woven tissue saree with antique gold zari-crusted border, accompanied by an intricately embroidered blouse that embodies timeless traditional beauty.” The tissue silk saree she wore is a delightful blush pink shade, and the embroidery and blouse shine in a golden hue. Read on for more details.

The tissue silk saree showcases a sheer silhouette and is adorned with antique gold zari-crusted borders. Janhvi draped it gracefully around her curvaceous figure in the traditional style, pleating the front and letting the pallu cascade from her shoulder to the floor. She paired the six-yard wonder with a matching sleeveless blouse featuring sequin work, zari-crusted embroidery, scalloped hems, a plunging neckline that accentuates her decolletage, and a fitted bust.

To complement the traditional look, Janhvi accessorized with minimal jewelry, including a choker necklace in the shape of a flower, matching traditional earrings, and statement rings. Lastly, she opted for muted pink eyeshadow, mascara to enhance her lashes, groomed brows, winged eyeliner, a mauve lip shade, rosy cheeks, a black bindi, and a radiant highlighter for her makeup. A center-parted hairstyle with loosely defined curls completed the ensemble.

Meanwhile, Viajaydashami or Dussehra is celebrated on October 24.
