The Oppo Find N3 Flip receives high acclaim for its fashionable design, practical cover display, larger battery, and versatile camera system. It enhances its predecessor, the Find N2 Flip, by rectifying the deficiencies of the previous model and introducing significant upgrades. The phone maintains the iconic ‘vertical cover display’ appearance, aluminum frame, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus-protected rear panel. However, it now boasts more curved edges and a glossy finish, which is susceptible to smudges and fingerprints. The phone is IPX4 certified for water resistance.

The Oppo Find N3 Flip impresses with its nearly wrinkle-free internal folding display. The Flexion Hinge enables the screen to fold into a teardrop shape and hold at any angle beyond 45 degrees. The 6.8-inch full-HD+ OLED LTPO panel delivers vibrant and vivid visuals, with a peak brightness of 1600 nits and support for HDR10+ content. The cover display, while mostly unaltered in terms of specifications, now supports more than 40 widely-used apps, making it more versatile for users.

The overall user experience of the Find N3 Flip is generally positive. However, there are a few areas that could benefit from improvement. App continuity between the cover display and the main screen seamlessly transitions when initiating an app on the cover and then unfolding the phone. Conversely, the reverse process requires unlocking the device through the side-mounted fingerprint scanner and launching the app on the cover display. Text-intensive apps may not be ideal for the narrow vertical screen, but the phone’s usability excels in tasks such as checking the weather, using Maps or YouTube, capturing photos, and making calls.

The camera system on the Oppo Find N3 Flip is a major standout, especially with the inclusion of a telephoto lens. The phone boasts a 50MP primary shooter, a 48MP ultrawide lens, a 32MP telephoto lens, and a 32MP front-facing camera. Under favorable lighting conditions, the primary shooter captures outstanding shots with remarkable detail and dynamic range. The telephoto lens performs admirably, maintaining consistent colors with the primary shooter. The ultrawide lens also produces commendable results with sharp details and vibrant colors. However, portrait shots could benefit from improvements in terms of detail sharpness and edge detection.

The Find N3 Flip is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. While the performance remains generally smooth for everyday tasks, intense gaming may experience occasional stutters due to thermal constraints on the foldable form factor. The phone operates on ColorOS 13.2, but the extensive array of pre-installed apps may feel overwhelming for some users. The 4300mAh battery offers impressive longevity, easily lasting through a day of heavy usage, and the 44W charging speeds provide rapid charging capabilities. However, wireless charging is not supported.

In conclusion, the Oppo Find N3 Flip is a captivating choice, offering a fashionable design, practical cover display, robust camera system, and reliable performance. Despite a few shortcomings, it delivers a unique and enjoyable user experience compared to conventional smartphones.
